About

If you’re facing emotional challenges ranging from anxiety to depression to isolation or loss, or just having difficulty managing the stress of day-to-day life, I will create a safe space where you’ll have the opportunity to identify and actualize your goals.

As a psychotherapist with a wealth of experience treating both young people and adults struggling with a wide range of issues, my practice is focused on an integrative approach to healing. Trained as a dance/movement therapist, I blend together body-centered modalities along with theoretical perspectives.

Working holistically, I create a safe and supportive setting weaving together creative and expressive modalities with behavioral approaches. It is here where you will engage in the healing process, experiencing authenticity and building resilience.

My work has been described as restorative, transformational and compassionate.

The work we do together will provide you with valuable tools and strategies which will foster self-awareness and fresh insights.

Services

As you express your lived experiences, Judith will work alongside you while you identify and explore issues that lead to greater insight and self-awareness.

Whether through conversation, rooted in psychodynamic theory, expressive arts, body-centered modalities, dance/movement therapy, journaling, poetry, skills-building, or cognitive reframing, the work is always collaborative—therapist and client working together.

Judith’s innovative and individualized approach to psychotherapy allows her to meet the moment of her clients in a way that is empathic and authentic, leading to a sense of agency.

A graduate of Hunter College with a Master’s Degree in Dance Therapy, along with training at Yale University and Ackerman Institute for the Family, Judith has been on the forefront of helping clients grow and flourish in an integrative manner— based on the empirically supported assertion that the body, mind and spirit are interconnected and inseparable.

She has extensive clinical experience working at premier hospitals in the United States and has worked at Englewood Health on their Behavioral Health Unit for over a decade.

Passionate about her family and her dog, Jasper, Judith also enjoys meditation, dance, reading and writing poetry, running and baking.

Judith supports causes that center on raising mental health awareness on college campuses and promoting the emotional well-being of underserved populations.
